Vodacom Sepalami TVC
Sepalami is an inspirational story set in a rural Lesotho village, about a young girl; Sepalami who wants to race in the local horse race.
She is laughed at by the boys that point out she doesn’t have a saddle. Her Father working in South Africa swiftly helps by sending money through Vodacom’s m-pesa service.
With this short story I wanted to highlight a strong father daughter relationship. Sepalami has the support of her father, as a result she is confident and believes in her self. Quite often in Lesotho fathers have to work in South Africa, leaving families for long periods at a time. Technology helps bridge the difficulties of distance. I believe Fathers are a guiding post to their children’s lives.
